Sarachui

Sarachui is a quaint Kogi village situated close to the small town of Guatapuri in the César department, approximately a two-hour drive from the capital of the department, Valledupar.

Accompanied by the Colombian photographer Roberto Gutierrez and a local Kankuamo guide, we embarked on a trek from Guatapuri along the river to reach a small Kogi settlement before ascending the steep mountain. After three hours of hiking, we arrived at the village of Sarachui.

During our journey, we encountred several Kogi on the road up and enjoyed a breathtaking view of the valley below.
