Umuriwa

Umuriwa is a part of the small town of La Mesa, located near Valledupar, the capital of Cesar Department. I had the opportunity to visit this place alongside the Colombian photographer Roberto Gutierrez.

Initially, we were welcomed by a local Arhuaco and explored the area. Subsequently, we were greeted by an Arhuaco friend of Davian Camara, with whom I have maintained contact throughout this tour in September  2025. We then ascented the mountains with this local Arhuaco guide and discovered a hidden and sacred waterfall where we captured several photosgraphs. 

During our ascent, we encountered his sister along with her children and also visited her home, which is situated near the waterfall amidst the jungle.
